Since each house is a unique design and more importantly since each project is a new blend of owner, architect, builder, design and site, it is impossible to predict the cost before the design is complete. What I can do, however, is look at the costs of similar projects that I've completed and from those extrapolate the data to give an initial sense of what the project might cost. I will often work with a professional estimator during each design phase to ensure that the design is in line with the stated budget.
